FLAPPER VALVE
 PEBCO® is committed to providing the highest quality equipment at the most reasonable price. Through a combined effort between manufacturing and engineering personnel, we have improved our design and manufacturing procedures on Flapper Valves and Double Flapper valves. The end result is PEBCO®'s high quality at a reduced price.
The throat is constructed of four pieces of metal and positioned straight down. Unlike our original design, there is no impingement upon the flow area. The blade and the throat are both constructed of 400 brinell abrasion resistant steel.  The blade seating surface and inlet throat seat are both machined for optimum sealing. Blade to be 5/8" star 360, which can be ground to a minimum 1/2" to attain flat seat.
The shaft seals are no longer the packing glands with outboard bearings. We are now using pressure loaded shaft seals inboard of the bearing. This design will allow use in both pressure and vacuum applications. The bearings are still protected from the ingression of contaminants since they are located outboard of the shaft seals. The Flapper Valve blade is removable for maintenance and replacement.
